it’s a very personal choice really. Water temp is around 58-60 this weekend and that’s quite cold for some. If you aren’t acclimated to cold water or if you do triathlons and will wear one for the race, then yes, you should wear one on Saturday. But they aren’t required.
As for valuables – we leave things on the beach but there is always someone around to keep an eye on things.
