There’s always https://shallweswim.today for our local conditions 🙂
I need to give it some more love when I get a chance…there are a lot of features I’d like to add. That uses Windy to show forecast wind/temp/sky/swells.

There are a handful of phone apps that plot out tides and even projected currents. I have a bunch installed: Tide Alert, Tide Pro, AyeTides. If you look at the sources at the bottom of the SWS page, it has links to the NOAA buoys that most apps use for their underlying data.

Navionics Boating is also rather good, but you need to pay $ for a subscription.

It all depends on what info you’re trying to get from an app.

It’s not necessary. In fact, I suspect a great number swimmers in our event may not have a USMS membership.

We’re still trying to work out details, but I would plan on the same situation as Grimaldo’s Mile: street parking and public lots.

Thanks for pointed this out. We added a brief note to the registration page about parking.

Sean, I’m in the same boat as you. Aiming to do the 6hr swim end of this month.
We should coordinate, at least to watch for temps and best opportunities. I know plenty of people that have offered to help observe at the beach.

Yes, David, we’ll be back this year. However our first day is indeed Memorial Day. If you’re a member or signed up for our mailing list, you should be hearing about it soon.

In the meantime, I can tell you there are often people swimming at the beach on the weekends. Moreso as it gets warmer. CIBBOWS just won’t be operating until the beach officially opens on Memorial Day weekend
