In by Jacqueline Broner

Christina learned to swim along the Jersey shore and in the lakes of the East Coast but didn’t learn her strokes in earnest until she was an adult. In 2006 she began spending summers on Fire Island with her family and realized she wanted to face the challenge of swimming in the open water. Inspired by friends who are triathletes she began training for super sprint events and open water swims.  Christina is a pediatric sleep consultant and works in private practice and as a consultant. She lives in Brooklyn with her two sons, Billy and Ben, and husband, Mike and she is grateful to be part of the CIBBOWS community since 2019.
