Christina learned to swim along the Jersey shore and in the lakes of the East Coast but didn’t learn her strokes in earnest until she was an adult and wanted to face the challenge of the open water in New York. Christina is a pediatric sleep┬áconsultant and works in private practice and as a consultant. She lives in Brooklyn with her two sons, Billy and Ben, and husband,┬áMike and she is grateful to be part of the CIBBOWS community.

Kirsten Kramer

Kirsten is a synchronized swimmer, open water swimmer and speed swimmer from Brooklyn, NY. Her swimming career began in Buffalo, NY at an early age, competing in synchronized swimming and speed swimming throughout middle school and high school. In 2003, she joined the US Masters certified LGBTQ+-friendly aquatics team, Team New York Aquatics, of which she has been an active member and ally for almost two decades. Kirsten participates in international competitions with TNYA, competing with her team in synchronized swimming and open water swimming. Kirsten found CIBBOWS for the first time in 2005, participating in the Grimaldo’s Mile race. It took until 2017 for her to find her way back into open water swimming and the CIBBOWS community.
