Abby Fairman is an accomplished ultra-marathon swimmer and open water swim coach. She is a Triple Crown Swimmer (Manhattan, Catalina Channel and English Channel), and has completed numerous other local swims, including the 57-mile 40 Bridges swim and the 120-mile 8 Bridges odyssey. As head coach of Red Tide Masters, she has helped dozens of swimmers find their love of the open water, from their first mile to their first marathon. She has coached at least one successful Manhattan swimmer each year since 2014, including the fastest swimmers of 2019 (reverse) and 2020 (standard). She is a certified Level 3 USMS coach and an American Red Cross lifeguard. In 2020, she received the USMS Kerry O’Brien Coaches award for her dedication to the sport.
