Guided swim for physically challenged triathletes

In by Jacqueline Broner

Your commitment includes a 45 minute Zoom training + 2 hours on beach per event. Unlike last year, all participants are required to be members of TriAchilles. This will be a training swim to prepare for upcoming summer events. They might be new to open water if this is their first triathlon, but they’ve done the pool prep. Caroline Matthews from CIBBOWS and Peter Helling of Starline Coaching return as your leaders!

Land volunteers: Tasks will include greeting swimmers on the boardwalk, taking them down to meet their guide or extra muscle to help swimmers in and out of the water. Friends and family are welcome to volunteer!

In-water guides: Swim time will be appropriate given water temperature. For example, June 9 swim may only be 400 yards or up to 25-30 minutes. Two guides per swimmer. We need a variety of speeds and lots of enthusiasm.
